Frequently Asked COVID Questions
Clients, Consultants, and Partners: Here's Your Answers
Do I need a mask to receive or provide services?
Yes, please! Firstly, CDC still recommends mask wearing for protection against COVID. Secondly, we understand your vaccination is a personal and private matter and will not ask you about your status. Thirdly, we know there are those within our communities who are immunocompromised. Therefore, we want to keep consultants, clients, and community partners safe. You are welcome to wear:
Your own mask
A disposable one we will provide when you are interacting with Courageous Access
What if I think I may have COVID or been exposed?
Please take the CDC self-checker (prior to 10/7/2022). After 10/7/2022, use CDC's Symptoms of COVID-19 page. Then, if your situation warrants, please take the test. We are working to keep tests onhand. So, check in with us to find out if you need one. If we are waiting to refill our stock, you may arrange for a free test through Test Iowa. Please note this accommodation is for our clients, consultants, and program partners who are currently interacting with us. We want to make sure we stay stocked. Thank you for your understanding.
Is there still anywhere I can get free vaccines?
As Black people in America, we are well aware that we all are not necessarily comfortable with vaccinations. We respect that is a very personal and spiritual matter and leave that decision up to you. However, there are still places as of 10/4/2022, that you are able to get vaccinated and boosted for free. Please check out CDC's information, entering your zip code and choosing the type of vaccine you prefer to find it nearest you.
