This program, taught by a Black professional, Master/Sensei Rauh Karim, teaches Black women DV survivors and their children in 6 weeks how to defend themselves using only their bodies as the weapon.

This program is having its first crossover specifically to support our Black girls who are involved with the Justice System, thanks to this grant for Juvenile Delinquency Prevention - Services for Black Girls funded by a different department within Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.  We conducted 2 cohorts - in Cedar Rapids and Davenport, Iowa - within the fiscal year.
